Karate for individuals with special needs.

In 2003, I started the Ameri-Kan Karate program to serve the population of children and adults who would like to take Karate, but were unable to because they did not fit the “typical” karate student mold.

I offer individualized karate instruction for individuals with special needs.  My curriculum stresses development of balance, coordination, discipline, focus, attention, physical fitness, and social skill development.

· Instructor is a certified 3rd Degree Black Belt

· Students progress through the belt ranks according to effort and personal development

· Students are encouraged to achieve their highest potential

· Each student starts with two private lessons and a uniform before entering the full class

· Specialized self defense and weapon classes are offered as appropriate (for adults)
